Climbing Frame Key Features

Our attention to detail, design and safety shows in our Climbing Frame Systems, the following is just some of the features;

  • All our play frames comply to EN71-1 and EN71-3 European Safety Regulations.
  • All of our Bolts are recessed. All Hexagonal Screws are recessed, and the other screws are provided with a countersink head so that they don’t stick out.
  • All angles are designed so that children’s heads and limbs don’t get caught.
  • All A-Frame cross braces are Bolted, not screwed, for extra rigidity.
  • All A-Frames form an Equilateral Triangle for greater stability.
  • All our Swings are tested using a 200kg weight.
  • All component wood for the Play Systems is Pressure Treated.
  • All of our Climbing Frames come with Step by Step Assembly instructions and can be assembled by two Adults.

We offer Play Systems for both Large and Small Gardens. Our modular design and interchangeable swing accessories mean that our Play Systems can grow as your children grow.

Play Equipment Assembly and Maintenance

Full Step by Step instructions are given with every item.

Please follow all assembly instructions and do not carry out any adaptations to the Play Systems, as these will not have been subjected to our Independent Testing, and may put children at risk, and will void your warranty.

All Items are to be assembled by Adults.

All Screws and Bolts together with Fixings and Anchor Points should be checked and, if required, adjusted at least twice a year. Failure to do so may result if falls or overturning of parts. Replace any damaged parts immediately.

The Pressure Treated timber will naturally, over time, change colour through Green to Brown and then to Grey. To reduce this colour change the timber can be treated once a year, good quality wood stains are available from Hardware and DIY stores, please follow manufacturers guidelines for application of these stains and to see if they are suitable. The application of stains is optional as the colour change in the wood will not affect it’s strength, durability or the warranty.

Timber Details

Our component timbers are sourced from slow growing trees in Northern Europe, some up to 80 years old. These are carefully harvested, dimensionally machined and planed for each component. The individual parts are then kiln dried, machined and prepared for final use. Having completed these processes they are despatched to the pressure treatment plant to undergo immersing and treating with the latest CCA free preservative Tanalith `E', compliant with EN71 Part 3.

All timbers are individually examined for suitability prior to assembly, wrapping and packaging and on completion the components are stored pending despatch throughout the UK.

Please Note:
Timber is a natural fibrous material and when exposed to weathering can develop shakes, cracks, warping, loose knots and other properties associated with movement, caused by constant drying and moisture retention.

We are unable to guarantee against any of the above as each component has individual characteristics. Should you feel that for your particular use and location that a component requires replacing then individual parts can be purchased from us.

Safety Note

Please inspect your Play System periodically for safety and stability, to ensure that the natural movement and weathering of the timbers has had no adverse effect on the stability and safety of the structure.

In line with general safety requirements we recommend that all play activities are supervised by an adult.
